Pharmacy Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Pharmacy Entrance Examination, candidates must fulfil the following criteria:
- Citizenship: Must be a citizen of India.
- Educational Qualification:
- Must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) Science or equivalent examination.
- Must have studied English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and/or Mathematics.
- Must have passed from a recognized board/council/university without grace marks.
- Students from non-formal and non-classroom-based schooling like the National Institute of Open Schooling are not eligible for the B.Pharm course.
- Age Requirement: Candidates must be a minimum of 17 years old by january 2026.
Pharmacy Entrance Fee
The entrance examination fee varies by course and category:

The entrance examination will be held in the following cities across Assam:
- Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Silchar, Jorhat, Barpeta, Tezpur, Diphu, Nagaon, Lakhimpur, Dhubri, Kokrajhar
Syllabus of Pharmacy Entrance Examination
The examination will consist of one paper with 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs) covering the following subjects:
- English: 25 Marks
- Physics: 25 Marks
- Chemistry: 25 Marks
- Biology or Mathematics: 25 Marks
The questions will be of Higher Secondary (10+2) science standard. Merit will be determined based on the total marks obtained in all subjects.
Reservation and Merit Criteria
- Reservation: Seats are reserved for SC/ST(P)/ST(H)/OBC/MOBC/TGL/Ex-TGL/EWS/PWD categories as per government norms. Details will be announced by the Directorate of Medical Education, Assam.
- Merit Determination: In case of a tie in marks, inter-se merit will be determined based on marks in Biology/Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and English, in that order. If further tie-breaking is needed, qualifying examination marks will be considered during counselling.
